Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may require you to re-accept updated Terms from time to time (for example, through an in-app acceptance prompt) before you can continue using the Service.

Finori is a social community app for people interested in personal finance. It lets you create and share posts (including images, tags, and charts), comment and reply, like and save content, mention other members, follow other users, join and participate in communities (“crews”), search for members, set and track personal financial goals, and share your progress with the community.

Finori does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice. All content on the Service — whether posted by us, by other users, or generated with automated tools — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only, and is not a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security or financial product. Content posted by other users reflects their own opinions, not ours. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting.

To use most features you must create an account. You may register with an email address and password, or through Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile photo) as permitted by those providers.

You agree to provide accurate information, to keep it up to date, and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@finori.app if you suspect unauthorized use. You may not use another person’s account or create an account on behalf of anyone else without permission.

“User Content” means anything you submit to the Service, including posts, comments, replies, images, goal details you choose to share, profile information, and messages. You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant [COMPANY NAME] a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display), publish, distribute, and display that User Content solely for the purposes of operating, providing, promoting, and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except (a) where the content has been shared with others who have not deleted it, and (b) for reasonable backup copies retained for a limited period.

You represent and warrant that:

• you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to your User Content and to grant the license above; and
• your User Content does not violate these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party (including intellectual property and privacy rights).

When you make a profile, post, or other content public — or share it through a public link — you understand it may be viewed, copied, and re-shared by others. Manage your visibility through your profile settings (public, followers, or private).

Finori is a shared community. You agree not to post or transmit content that:

• is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading;
• is spam, or promotes scams, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, “get rich quick” schemes, crypto scams, or misleading financial claims;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, defames, or invades the privacy of others;
• is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or depicts or exploits minors;
• infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or proprietary right;
• contains malware, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation; or
• collects or harvests other users’ data, or uses the Service in a way that interferes with its normal operation.

We may, but are not obligated to, review, monitor, moderate, refuse, remove, or restrict any content or account at our discretion. We offer in-app tools to report content (for reasons such as spam, inappropriate content, harassment, or hate). Enforcement measures may include warnings, content removal, strikes, temporary restrictions or cooldowns, suspension, and permanent bans. We do not guarantee that any content will be reviewed or that moderation will catch every violation.

We use automated tools, including third-party artificial intelligence services, to help operate and moderate the Service. Specifically:

• text you submit may be screened by automated moderation services (including OpenAI’s moderation and classification models) to detect policy violations and to categorize and tag posts by topic and sentiment;
• images you upload may be screened by automated image-moderation services (provided through Cloudinary and Amazon Rekognition) to detect prohibited content.

These automated systems are used only for content moderation, classification, and related Service operations. They are not perfect and may produce errors, including false positives and false negatives. They do not provide financial advice, and we make no representation that they detect all policy-violating or unlawful content. Human review may supplement automated decisions, but is not guaranteed. Where a decision (such as content removal or an account restriction) materially affects you, you may contact us at support@finori.app to request review.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the “Finori” name and marks (but excluding User Content), is owned by [COMPANY NAME] or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”).

Filing a takedown notice. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it; (4) your contact information (name, address, telephone number, and email); (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

We will remove or disable access to infringing material promptly upon receipt of a valid notice, and we may notify the affected user. The affected user may submit a counter-notice as permitted by the DMCA. We will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

The Service relies on and links to third-party services (for example, Supabase, Google/Firebase, Apple, Cloudinary, Amazon Web Services, and OpenAI). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, or websites, and your dealings with them are solely between you and the third party. See our Privacy Policy for details on the providers we use.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT (INCLUDING USER CONTENT AND AUTOMATED CLASSIFICATIONS) WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [COMPANY NAME] AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify. The arbitration will be administered by [ARBITRATION ADMIN] under its applicable rules, and will take place in [ARBITRATION VENUE] (or by video/telephone where available). The arbitrator’s decision may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action & jury waiver. 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@finori.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name and your intent to opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

The enforceability of this section depends on your jurisdiction; some of its provisions may not apply where prohibited by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the “Your rights” section of our Privacy Policy, or contact support@finori.app). We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses for already-shared content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and arbitration) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service (for example, by updating the “Last updated” date or by prompting you to re-accept the Terms before continuing to use the Service). Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], [COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the arbitration section above, the exclusive venue for any dispute not subject to arbitration will be the courts located in [STATE], [COUNTRY], and you consent to their jurisdiction.
